Fallout 3 has been out for a while now. It seems to have retained some flavor of the original Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 games. 

I'm not crazy about the FPS approach, but what can you do, it's popular with the kiddies. It's a shame they have to appeal to the uneducated and unwashed masses or they don't make money.  <evil grin>

That's ok I still want to try it, looks more appealing than anything else I've seen in ages. I can't even remember the last game I
purchased.

Hmmmm ... I think the last game I bought was W40K Dark Crusade. I still play that on occasion. Great game!

Ah yes well World of Warcraft didn't last long for me. Too boring.

Nobody talks or tries to connect with unfamiliar players in the game. I even tried different servers and people are too busy with leveling or running off with the group they currently hang out with to make new friends.

On that level I really miss the old days of Ultima Online, when it first started.... people were much friendlier and even on occasion would approach me and engage me without my having to make all the effort first. Hell in WoW I did all the work trying to meet people and it was like they couldn't be bothered, even when I tried to join some guilds. <sigh>

No big loss, I was never over excited about the game anyway. <yawn>

Yes I am so bored I have dug out World of Warcraft and I'm playing the 10 day free trial. If I play any longer than that.... who knows.  Oh I am playing it in FreeBSD.... which is a huge plus since I hate booting windowz.
